SANTIAGO DE CUBA, CUBA – CIRCA SEPTEMBER: Guards during changing of the guard at the mausoleum of José Martí at the Cementerio Santa Ifigenia in Santiago de Cuba circa September 2014. Every half an hour there is a changing of this guard of honor supported by music from speakers. This socialist parade with the goose step walk of the guards is a nice spectacle.

José Julián Martí Pérez (28 January 1853 – 19 May 1895) was a Cuban national hero: Cuba’s padre de la patria (father of the nation). Jose Marti was a leader of the Cuban independence movement as well as an respected writer and poet.
